Inventory

Editions:  Enterprise

TeamSupport's Inventory module allows you to track physical inventory items (or "assets") which have been shipped to customers.  You can also associate these assets to tickets for easier tracking.

There are three tabs within the Inventory module:

Assigned Inventory

This sections shows all hardware which is currently assigned to a customer. You can search and filter to see specific items using the filter bars at the top of the grid. Selecting an item and pressing the "Edit Asset" button will bring up the dialog to be able to change information about that asset. The "Return Asset" button will ship an item from a customer to the Warehouse.

Warehouse (unassigned) Inventory

The Warehouse is a list of all the assets which are not currently shipped but that are available to ship. In this section you can create a new asset, ship an asset to a customer, edit it, or assign it to the Junkyard.

Junkyard

The Junkyard is where assets that are no longer functioning are placed. This allows you to keep track of historical assets but in a place where they cannot be shipped to customers or otherwise used.

Adding Assets

To add a new asset, click the Creat New Asset button and fill in the following form and click save.  The Product pull down displays all of the products you have created under the product section within TeamSupport.

Assets assigned to customers

You can also see the assigned assets per customer by going to the customer section and clicking on the Inventory tab.

Returning Assets

If an asset needs to be returned from a customer site to the warehouse you can do this from the Assigned Inventory tab.  To return an asset, click on the asset from the Assigned Inventory tab and click the Return Asset button.  Once clicked, the following form will appear:

When this is complete, the asset will now appear under the Warehouse and the asset will no longer appear under the customer/inventory tab.

Asset History

If you would like to see the history of a given asset, simply click on the asset and click the History button.  This will show you everything that has happened over the life of the asset.

Add Assets To Tickets

To add assets to tickets, simply click click the add button to the right within a ticket.  There you can type in an asset name and/or a serial number.  You can add as many assets to a ticket as you like.

Hovering over the index card next to the asset will give you all of the info about the asset.
