Getting Started

Each new account includes preconfigured settings to help new trial users quickly get a general understand of how TeamSupport works.  You are welcome to use these settings - but more importantly you can change them.  If you need support, click the Support Button located in the upper right of the TeamSupport app page, or email support@teamsupport.com.

8. Set up your Portals (Advanced portal not available in Express edition)

TeamSupport provides you with three URLs for customer self service.

a.  Advanced Portal (support desk and enterprise editions only) which allows users to log in, submit and check on the status of tickets, search tickets, knowledgebase and Wiki articles.  Note this portal is an add-on module but is free during the trial.  Pricing can be found here.

b.
The Ticket Submission Portal which is an easy way for your users to log new tickets.  Free in all accounts.

c.  Public Knowledgebase allows you to share publicly viewable tickets that you have added to your Knowledge Base.  Free in all accounts.

You can locate your three URLs here.

The Ticket Submission Form doesn't require any setup other than making it "pretty" by adding HTML headers & footers or (preferably) embedding it into your website via an iframe (more information here).

The Advanced Portal requires that your customers login, so you will need to go to the "Customers" section of TeamSupport and edit the customers you want to have access to the portal.  Instructions on how to grant portal access to your customers can be found here.
